Graduate/Post Graduate/Doctorate degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities of Junior Data Analyst

Business/Customer:

  • Minimal customer interaction under guidance to understand requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Understands domain processes, functions, and terms like SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and QC (Quality Control) checklists to maintain quality standards.
  • Enter data from source documents into clinical and safety databases accurately and within the set timelines, ensuring all information is correct.
  • Handle critical and sensitive transactions that require special attention to detail and confidentiality.

Coding:

  • Perform coding tasks efficiently and within the project’s timelines, ensuring all data is accurately coded.
  • Import uncoded terms into the database and export coded medical terms from the coding platform, maintaining consistency.
  • Manage queries related to coding issues, resolving them promptly.
  • Create new term requests and prioritize them based on urgency.
  • Update medical dictionaries as needed to ensure all terms are current and accurate.

Clinical Data Management (CDM):

  • Perform setup, migration, and closeout activities under supervision, ensuring all processes are followed correctly.
  • Generate study-related reports and status updates, communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Conduct peer quality checks on tasks completed by other junior data analysts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Project/Process:

  • Handle complex problems related to procedures and processes, seeking guidance from supervisors when necessary.
  • Process transactions accurately, adhering to quality requirements and meeting turnaround time (TAT) targets.
  • Proactively identify issues in processes and suggest improvements.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify and report any changes in processes to ensure compliance and up-to-date procedures.

Knowledge Management:

  • Update process documentation regularly to reflect any changes or improvements in the process.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer activities, sharing insights and best practices with the team.

People/Team Management:

  • Follow organizational policies for personal utilization, time sheet submission, and attendance to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in team initiatives and activities to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Track and collate team performance metrics, providing insights for improvement.
  • Manage team schedules and logistics, including break schedules and transport, in the absence of a supervisor.
